The Amtrak Coast Starlight is a double-deck Superliner train that travels the west coast from Seattle to Los Angeles. Additionally, it has a total of 28 stops and offers daily departure. It's most famous for its viewing deck that allows you to see the amazing scenery with high windows.So after a few months of research and checking my budget, in November 2021 I booked a Superliner roomette sleeper on the Coast Starlight Train 11 from Seattle King Street Station to LA Union Station. Booking 7 months before departure meant that I got a good deal, as like airlines, Amtrak prices increase as you get nearer departure date.
