The DRZ guys are taking them off thier 400's when nearly new and selling them for $50 to $75 bucks. A CV type carb somewhat compensates for the elevation change due to vacuum perting the needle and the larger bore may permit a 'deeper breath' by the engine.

I recently purchased a new 4T lectron Carb for my spare DRZ400SM. First off it took weeks to get as they were waiting or their new, must have billet throttle tubes. Finally got the carb, looked awesome, install was very easy. It fit better than the OEM carb and we wont even compare fit to an FCR.
